Monty's new sweater

As promised, here it the photo of Monty's newest sweater. I will most likely redo the ribbing, as I though, but not until after we get our move accomplished. Still, it didn't turn out too bad. I am working on getting the pattern right, using the knitting design program that I bought. It started as a free download, trial program, but the trial doesn't let you play with custom design sizes, so I bought the unlock code. I have not been disappointed with the program or the customer service that I have received. If you are in the market for a design program, I highly recommend them!!!

Life is upside down.

Well, life here has turned upside down. The end of year bill adjustments for water and electrical arrived at the end of February. They took all of the money that we had saved (knowing there would be a bit of a difference) and all of the money that I was going to need to take my trip to the states to see my girls and newest grandchildren. It was a completly depressing thing, but it spurred us to make an immediate decision..... move. So, with my husband jumping though amazing hoops in the system, he has signed for a house, arranged for the movers to come and arranged all the things that are needed for our move..... which happens in only 17 days! Wow! Is he good, or what? Anyway, the ease on the budget makes it so that I can most likely visit the girls and family sometime around the holidays. I am going to miss my small, quiet, friendly town and my son going to kindergarten, but I guess it worked out for the better. Maybe there will be openings for him in school in his new town, but we will have to wait and see. I do love the fact that here in Germany kids go to half day school, if you can get them into one of the local ones.

On the topic of crafts... I finished the newest sweater for my dog. The ribbing might be a bit tight around his tummy and back legs, but I can redo that if I need to. I will post a pic when I take one. I am, saddly, suffering from "second" mitten syndrome. I still haven't finished Hubby's other mitten and now spring is here. Well, maybe I will get it done by next year!...
